Kentaro OnishiTEDxHamamatsu 2019 Performer

Dancer / Performance Artist

Mr. Onishi is a performer who continually seeks “dance” by means of encountering the charms of different places, people and customs.

After graduating from the Graduate School of Tokyo University of the Arts, he took up dancing and performing based on the theme of “wind.”

Since 2011, he has served as instructor and general director of his self-launched project, “Guru Guru Mix,” a creative classroom for children.

He has also worked on the “O” Dance Project at Komone Fukushien (welfare facility) in Itabashi Ward, Tokyo since 2015. In 2018, he cooperated with locals in the Republic of Ecuador to produce and perform “El Azabiro de La Tola.”
